Hi there. Thank you so much for your comment. I agree that RIM has some serious catching up to do. I recently played with the new Storm II (which I’d waited for with great anticipation) and didn’t even get through a week before retiring the irritating, user-unfriendly clunky device and going back to my Curve. Sad, sad, sad.

RIM has reached its peak and I think it is going to stagnate. The new Torch is a fine example of this. And it helps even less when corporate lackeys are supplied with entry-level BBs.

The competition has cought up with what BB had to offer as the leading edge. Improved connectivity services and out-of-the-box solutions are more preferable these days than conventional user-installable middleware and Enterprise Server solutions like what BB still uses.

Android and iPhone offer nicer user experiences in my opinion, with a wealth of popular available applications to install, and will thus get increased consumer liking and market share, putting more pressure on RIM to convincingly break out of their “corporate lackey” stereotype. The new Torch cannot accomplish this.

I’ve realised how expensive it is using CellC to surf the net. The comparison is a true indication of just how CellC is ripping me and other users off. I’m surprised why isn’t Virgin Mobile included in the comparison as I find it the best with data rates by far
